Privacy Policy

Our approach

Privacy should be straightforward. PIXS uses personal information to operate its website, answer enquiries, process orders and payments, manage Toronto deliveries, run optional giveaways and send pixsVIP updates only when permitted. We seek to collect only what is reasonably needed for these purposes. Contact hello@pixs.ca with privacy questions or requests.

Information we may collect

Depending on how you interact with us, information may include your name, email, telephone number, delivery address and postal code; product selections, order records, transaction references and customer-support communications; giveaway entries and eligibility details; pixsVIP consent and unsubscribe records; and website usage, device and technical data collected by any enabled hosting, security or analytics tools. We do not need your complete payment-card number to handle ordinary order support.

How we use it

We use this information to verify eligible delivery locations; prepare and confirm purchases; prevent payment or order fraud; communicate about orders; coordinate secure handoffs and customer service; investigate undisclosed defects and refunds; operate giveaways and verify potential winners; provide the pixsVIP newsletter with appropriate consent; maintain website reliability and security; understand website performance where analytics are enabled; and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations.

Service providers and the information they may handle

OpenAI / ChatGPT (https://openai.com/about/) — provides tools used to build and operate PIXS.ca and may support website hosting and technical services. Technical website information and any data entered into enabled site features can be processed in connection with these services. PIXS may also use AI assistance in preparing and reviewing non-sensitive store content as explained in our Responsible AI Policy.

SendFox (https://sendfox.com/) — manages optional pixsVIP mailing lists and delivery of newsletters; may process subscriber contact information, subscription preferences, consent records and engagement information.

KingSumo (https://kingsumo.com/) — is used for promotional giveaways, including collecting entries, confirmation, random selection and administration as configured for a given promotion. Giveaway participation is independent of permission to receive marketing.

Interac e-Transfer payments only during our VIP Preview Sale. Credit card payments coming soon.

Interac (https://www.interac.ca/en/company/about/company-overview/) — provides the network for e-Transfers through participating financial institutions. To reconcile a transfer, PIXS may receive the sender’s name, transfer amount, date, transaction reference and associated order details.

Trexity (https://trexity.com/about/) — is an intended local delivery provider and may receive the delivery name, address, telephone number, delivery instructions and parcel information needed to schedule, track and verify delivery.

Other providers may include your bank or card issuer, email and infrastructure services, fraud or security providers, and professional advisers where genuinely necessary. We do not sell customer email addresses or marketing lists.

Email choices and unsubscribe

pixsVIP is optional. Every promotional email includes an Unsubscribe link through SendFox. You may also ask to stop promotional emails at hello@pixs.ca. We process opt-outs promptly and in accordance with applicable Canadian anti-spam requirements. Unsubscribing does not affect your purchases, order confirmations, essential customer-service messages or giveaway eligibility. A limited record of your opt-out may be retained to honour your choice; unsubscribing does not automatically remove records required for legitimate order or legal purposes.

Giveaway privacy

Contest information is used to administer the giveaway, confirm eligibility and communicate with the potential winner. Newsletter consent is a separate choice and will not affect eligibility or odds. We do not publish the winner’s private address, identity documentation or full email address. Any optional photo, testimonial or public identification requires an appropriate separate permission.

Website analytics and cookies

Our website and integrated services may collect technical records needed for security, performance and analytics, such as page visits, referring pages, browser/device type, approximate geographic information and interactions with the site. Some features may use cookies or similar technologies. The technologies actually in use, and any controls available to visitors, are described in our Cookies & Analytics Notice. We do not claim all analytics are anonymous or that every service processes data only in Canada.

Retention and security

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, to honour unsubscribe requests, resolve disputes and satisfy applicable legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards and limit access to people and providers who need it, but no online service is risk-free. Where possible, we minimize information shared with providers.

Data processing outside Canada

Some providers or their subprocessors may store or process information outside Canada. Information processed in other countries may be subject to applicable foreign laws and lawful access requests. PIXS remains responsible for assessing and managing its service-provider arrangements as applicable.

Your choices and contact

You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, withdraw consent where applicable, request deletion where legally possible, or ask how your information is used. We may need limited details to verify your identity before acting. Write to hello@pixs.ca. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

Children

PIXS is not intended to collect personal information knowingly from children for marketing. Individual contests will specify age eligibility in their official rules.
