10 Best Tips for Your Office Party.

A good outfit gets you through the door. These help you walk back into work with your dignity—and your job—comfortably intact.

  1. Read the invitation. Yes, all of it.

    Check the dress code, venue and start time before choosing your outfit. ‘Festive’ is a mood. It is not a request to dress as the centrepiece.

  2. Give the outfit a test drive.

    Sit down. Walk around. Reach for something. Try a little dance. If the dress needs constant negotiations in your bedroom, it will not become more reasonable at the party.

  3. Eat before the tiny food arrives.

    A canapé is a snack with a publicist. Have something substantial beforehand so your entire evening does not depend on locating the person with the tray.

  4. Decide your pace before the first toast.

    Choose what—and how much—you want to drink. Alcohol is optional. Explaining your choice is also optional. Your colleagues can survive this small mystery.

  5. Take a coat. This is Toronto.

    Wear a proper coat and closed-toe shoes or boots. If your party shoes are strictly indoor talent, bring them in a bag and change. Frostbite is not an accessory.

  6. Meet someone beyond your usual three people.

    Say hello to a colleague you rarely work with. Ask about their holiday plans, a good meal or something they enjoy. You already have eleven months of ‘How’s that project going?’

  7. Keep the gossip off the guest list.

    Save complaints, salary debates and your detailed theory about management for another setting. The music is loud. Your opinions do not need to compete.

  8. Ask before you post.

    Get permission before sharing a colleague’s photo or video. Being near a camera is not the same as volunteering for your content strategy.

  9. Sort the ride before the goodbyes.

    Plan your trip home and have a backup. If you drink, do not drive. A charged phone and a booked ride are a much better pairing than ‘I’ll figure it out.’

  10. Leave while you are still excellent company.

    Thank the host or organizers and make your exit. You do not need to win the party. An enjoyable evening and an entirely ordinary Monday are a very respectable result.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver within our Toronto delivery area. Check your postal code and the delivery policy for eligibility, available delivery days and the order minimum. Delivery area and policy.

Can I return something if it does not fit?

Sales are generally final, including fit preference or a change of mind. If an issue was not disclosed, email refunds@pixs.ca within 5 business days of receipt with a description and clear photos. Tara will review it and confirm next steps. Refunds and returns.

Does saving an item reserve it?

No. Saving an item in MyPixs or adding it to your bag does not reserve it. Shopping is currently closed; you can browse and save favourites while we get ready.
